Happy Birthday Jesus

Hey, what's up everyone? It's literally been half a year... The mission life has been an absolute movie. I had the privilege of serving in Wenatchee, Selah, and now Moses Lake. I've learned to love the people, and I've made a ton of friends. Definitely gonna have to come back up and say hi to them now. Here are some of the highlights as of late: Wenatchee is so swag; our recent convert named Katie loved saying swag. We had a lesson with her, helping her to be ready to be an example to her friends, and months later, what we talked with her about led to her having awesome missionary experiences with her friends and helping them start learning about the gospel too. Me and my companion at the time, Elder Bishop, went crazy flowing in small stores and made some dope friends. One of our friends, Taylor, became one of my best friends when I was there. I'm definitely gonna kick it with him after the mission. We had one experience there where I felt prompted to pull over and...

Elder Timothy is doing well!  He transferred to Wenatchee last week and already loves it!  Before he transferred, he and his companion, Elder Cannon, got to spend a couple of hours with the mission president, who they love!  He’s almost half way!

Blessings On Blessings On Blessings

Hey haha it's been a minute haha... I'm not in Stevenson anymore! I returned to the magnificent city of Yakima and I'm now companions with my homie, Elder Cannon, and we go way back to being in the MTC together. I'm so hyped to be with once again a missionary that's been out as long as me and also to be with somebody that I was already genuine friends with. Yak has been, and will continue to be a blast with him. Speaking of blasting, I'm privileged to be serving in the hood, the Englewood East area. Our area's where the majority of gang activity and shootings happen, but I've felt super protected throughout it all. I haven't felt threatened or scared despite experiencing a couple of insane things, like literally insane. But the amount of miracles and missionary work in this area is insane. This is by far the most fruitful area I've had the ability to serve in, here's some of the biggest dubs: Over our first two weeks in Yakima we've alrea...

I Need To Write These More...

Hello everyone, This is the very end of my transfer after I sent my last email. Here's everything that's happened in the last two months! My companion this transfer has been Elder Benson. He's from Rexburg, Idaho and he loves BYU sports and running. He came out just a transfer, 6 weeks, before me so not too much experience is between us. He also eats waffles or pancakes every single morning, which baffles me honestly. I'd get so tired of them so fast if I did that! He's really committed to the work though. He wants to do everything that he can to righteously serve the Lord and help people progress towards baptism. We've been working super hard this transfer and now since my arrival into Stevenson, we have triple the amount of people we're actively teaching and 54 potential people to teach. It's so nice finally being able to stay in an area long enough to see your hard work pay off. And speaking of that, I just found out that I'll be here for the next...

Pday In Spirit Falls, Washington

Image
Stephen had a pretty awesome pday today!  A hike with his zone.  No sisters in this zone so he calls it the “bro zone.” He is doing well, anxious for the weather to warm up.  We love our missionary!  #yakimawashingtonmission #missionarymondays

It's Been An Even Longer Minute

Long Time, No See Everybody! Ah finally, I'm writing an email. This past month and a half have been insane, here's what's happened: I'm not in Yakima anymore! Once again I got transferred to Stevenson, the land of my inheritance. This means that I've had 7 companions in 5 areas during 4 transfers, which is absolutely crazy. Stevenson is a small town bordering the Columbia River and is about an hour and a half down the river from Portland. My new area doesn't just cover Stevenson however. It also covers the surrounding towns, those being Carson, North Bonneville, Skamania, and Cascade Locks. In total, my whole area has a population of less than 5000 people, which is by far the smallest place that I've served. I've been loving it though, it's so green and wet here, there's thousands of trees and mountains in every direction. And there's been so much rain, the humidity is mega high and on most days you'll never even catch a glimpse of the su...
