Week 3- M-T-See Ya Later!

Image
Hi again everybody!          Well the time has finally come, I'm flying to Yakima, Washington as I write this email and I'm super stoked. My three weeks of MTC has been a blast, I've been able to grow a lot there. The spirit just continues to speak more and more to me and I'm loving it!  Here's a condensed recap of last week for y'all:     Throughout this week I have gotten even closer and closer to my awesome district, which has honestly surprised me a lot. At the start of MTC when I was still at home, and partaking in tiring 3-hour zoom calls, I didn't like small things about practically all the members of my district. I was looking inward rather than outward, always thinking about myself for very small but selfish reasons.      Over these past weeks specifically I've totally changed that however, and God helped me to realize this as I sat on a rock, pondering my Missionary Training Center experience. The people around m...

Week 2- Peace Cali, Hello MTC

Image
Hey again everyone!          After a long and harrowing experience of me taking home MTC, I've finally been shipped off to Provo's MTC to learn and live the missionary life in person! Leaving my family at the airport knowing that I wouldn't see them for two whole years was pretty difficult, I'm definitely going to miss them a lot. I love them so much and I can't lie. I've felt a little homesick at times, I miss my mom's cooking, the MTC's food hasn't been the best so far.     God's definitely been on my side throughout this massive change though. I immediately got to have an awesome missionary experience on the flight I took from John Wayne Airport to Salt Lake City! I was seated next to an older lady and got to talk to her during our flight. She told me that her dad died when she was young and she's taken missionary lessons before, but never really remembered a lot about them. I got to explain to her where her dad went and why I'm going ...

Week 1- Home MTC!!!

Hi everybody!      And so it begins! Home MTC started for me Monday last week(8/29) and it's been wild. I was 15 minutes late to my district's first ever zoom meeting purely because there was a password that I was never told about! After finally being let into our call however I got to meet my MTC district and they're all super cool girls and guys!     There's twelve of us in total, eight of us being elders and four sisters. Four of the elders, including me and my companion, are going to the Yakima Washington mission! Almost everyone's from Utah too which has been a total pain for me. I have to wake up and go to bed an hour earlier to follow Utah's MTC schedule. With me being practically nocturnal that's made things tough to adjust too, but God Is definitely has had my back this past week.     I've had so many blessings this past week alone. The night before the start of MTC I had a panic attack as I was trying to fall asleep. I decided to pray to Heav...
